I look forward to strawberry season every year. I found a new recipe the other day.
Chop strawberries.
Add some chopped basil.
Pour a couple of tablespoons sweetened and thickened balsamic vinegar over and enjoy.
If you don’t have sweetened balsamic vinegar, put a couple of tablespoons brown sugar in a pan with the vinegar and heat until it boils. Let it cool before putting over strawberries.

Sally. I definitely will try thus recipe.
I also have a recipe that seems to be a crowd pleaser. Coming from Texas it packs a little heat but you can adjust to taste.
Strawberry Jalapeño Salsa.
Mix together in a bowl: 15-20 strawberries, hulled and chopped into a very small, even dice; 1/3 medium red onion, finely minced; handful of cilantro, well rinsed and finely chopped seeds and all (leave the seeds out for less heat) , and the juice of 1 lime and fresh cracked black pepper.
Mix everything in a bowl. Taste and adjust any of the ingredients to your taste. I adjust the cilantro and the jalapeño and leave the seeds out. Chill until ready to serve. I serve with Scoops Chips. .
